Welcome to Acupoint Health

A Scientific Whole-Person Approach

A clinic with a difference

At Acupoint Health, we understand that every person’s journey to health is unique. That’s why we offer two evidence-based approaches, carefully tailored to your needs, symptoms, root causes, and goals.

Medical Acupuncture provides relief from pain, inflammation, injury, and supports a variety of conditions.

The Break Free Approach uses cutting-edge research to help people recover from chronic pain, persistent symptoms, stress-related conditions and sleep challenges — helping them reclaim their lives when standard treatments haven’t provided relief.

Both approaches are grounded in science, delivered with expertise and focused on your whole-person health.

Medical Acupuncture

We provide evidence-based medical acupuncture, including manual acupuncture, dry needling, electroacupuncture, auricular (ear) acupuncture, and lifestyle support.

Medical acupuncture stimulates the body’s natural healing responses to reduce pain and inflammation, support recovery, and enhance rehabilitation. It can also benefit multiple systems beyond pain relief, including the nervous system, hormone balance, circulation, muscle tone, immune responses, and respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive health.

While medical acupuncture remains a powerful therapy, scientific research is reshaping how we understand and treat chronic pain, persistent symptoms, and stress-related conditions, forming the foundation of our innovative Break Free Approach for lasting recovery.

The Break Free Approach

Our specialist Break Free Approach is a whole-person, neuroplastic pathway for people living with chronic pain, ongoing symptoms, or stress- and trauma-related conditions. It is grounded in comprehensive pain reprocessing therapy (PRT) and other evidence-based techniques.

Drawing on cutting-edge pain science, nervous system research and trauma-informed care, this approach recognises that ongoing pain and symptoms are often linked to changes in the brain’s pain and warning system, allowing treatment to focus on lasting recovery rather than short-term symptom relief.

Medical acupuncture is often included to support recovery. Depending on your needs, CBT-i for sleep and insomnia or somatic therapy (EP) may also form part of your personalised care plan.

With the right knowledge, techniques, and specialist guidance, recovery is possible, and we’re here to help you every step of the way.

If you’re unsure where to start or would like to book an appointment, you can message the clinic by text on 07824 665494 or complete the Get in Touch form and we’ll guide you from there.

CHARLOTTE’S STORY

WHAT MY CLIENTS SAY...

Back pain/Sciatica

Charlotte has been an absolute delight to work with. Her garden clinic is a highly professional and private environment to go to treatment for. I went with an open mind after traditional treatment such as physio and massage didn’t seem to be getting to the core of the recurring issues I was having. I had frankly lost hope However the holistic body and mind approach Charlotte takes has helped me reach a place I didn’t think was possible. Where I no longer have chronic pain and the frustration of living with it daily. My quality of life has increased immensely. It’s refreshing to see a practitioner at the height of her skill and practice engaging with the latest research and information to give her clients the best possible service. Along with the core of that service being a genuine care to help her patient. For these reasons I would whole heartedly recommend Charlotte’s services if you are in pain and don’t know how to move forward.

Sport related ankle injury

My daughter fractured her ankle with torn ligaments, which rendered her off the running track. Progress was slow and actually finding out exactly what had happened was an uphill climb, but we came to Charlotte for some treatment as the ankle injury was taking too long to heal, after a couple of treatments and following Charlotte’s advice she got back onto the track, we had to make return visits as it would flare up and after treatment she got instant relief. My daughter is 17 and short distant runner and often competes in competitions, she struggled with not being able to compete and Charlotte gave her confidence to get back into training. I cannot recommend this lady enough she’s helped me through, pain management with my arthritis and her research into my problems where second to none.

Chronic pain

I can’t thank Charlotte enough for how she has changed my life for the better in so many ways the list is endless. From being in agony to having no pain, being so frightened of having surgery she helped give me confidence and I sailed through it, putting boundaries in place that I thought were there until I realised that there was loads of room for improvement. I feel like a weight has been lifted and feel great. She’s amazing.

Arthritis and Stress

I have had acupuncture before and not really benefitted.
However, Charlotte’s approach is completely different and she has helped me no end with my arthritic thumbs, stress and even my memory.
Thoroughly recommended

Rheumatoid Arthritis

I have a incurable chronic illness, rheumatoid arthritis, the flares with this illness and daily chronic fatigue and pain had me immobilised and unable to function. I decided to try acupuncture and went into it with an open mind, not sure what to expect with an unfixable illness. The benefits of a 6 week course with Charlotte have been life altering, not just acupuncture but the tools and help she has given me to understand and manage my illness have been awesome. My illness is still there but I am having less pain and even on my worst days I can still function and on my good days I can live again. Charlotte is incredibly knowledgeable and treats you with such compassion. You won’t regret seeing Charlotte and hopefully it will help you as much as it’s helped me.

Skin Allergy

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Charlotte. Having phoned her in a panic, desperate to get some pain relief for a severe itching skin allergy, she agreed to see me within a couple of hours. I had no experience of acupuncture and was open minded about the treatment and the results. Instantly after the first session I could feel some relief. Having spent 6 weeks in severe pain with burning itching sensations on my skin and 7 doctors baffled by the cause. The only treatment that helped was acupuncture. Charlotte tailored the sessions so I could get maximum relief, incorporating the ‘electro’ element. I continued to go to acupuncture for a few sessions and have agreed to contact her again if any further issues or pain occur. The cost was minimal, especially when considering the agony I was in before I contacted her. I would wholeheartedly recommend her business and would urge anyone in pain to give acupuncture a go.
Thank you Charlotte; your professionalism, dedication and commitment to helping other people is exceptional and the service you provide is outstanding. I will be recommending your service to my friends, family and colleagues.

Chronic back/leg pain

I have been managing a long-standing back and leg condition for over 15 years, during which time I have regularly relied on painkillers. I recently attended a series of acupuncture and mentoring sessions with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of the source of my pain and learning strategies to manage it more effectively.

Within just three sessions, I was introduced to a range of practical tools and techniques that have already proven beneficial. This approach has provided me with greater insight into both the physical and mental aspects of pain management, empowering me to take a more active role in my own wellbeing.

The experience has highlighted how powerful the mind-body can be when we understand how it works and how to apply it to support recovery. I would highly recommend this professional, holistic approach to anyone seeking long-term solutions for managing chronic pain.

Osteoarthritis – Knee

Having taken pain killers for osteoarthritis for my knees, I thought it was about time to try something different. Well I have to say Charlotte has worked miracles with acupuncture. After only a couple of sessions my mobility has improved and after the 6th and final session the inflammation has reduced noticeably and pain levels have reduced considerably too.
